Shinichiro Inui / Artist Born in Higashiosaka, Osaka Prefecture

Moved to the United States at 18 years old. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, Inui is now based in Osaka.

His works include paintings, collages, oil paintings, photographs, media stills, and even fashion tools, making full use of a wide range of materials and techniques as he probes the issues of social media’s impact on contemporary society and problems with consumerism in fashion and art.

Inui’s own brand, "guernika", is suggestive of a new world of creation beyond art and fashion, such as painting on clothes and bags.
