Based in Seoul, South Korea, BOAT is a versatile artist and illustrator. Driven by a multidisciplinary approach, BOAT works across fine art, illustration, art toys, and animation. Her professional journey began in 2018 with a picture book debut. Although her exploration of character first took root with a duck character in her book The Boat, the launch of CASH the cat in 2022 truly accelerated the development of her character-focused universe.

Parallel to her illustration work, BOAT’s fine art centers on the Cookie series, where she crafts and pieces together wooden elements like puzzles to create harmonious forms.

Since her inaugural exhibition at the Gangnam Art Awards, BOAT has built a strong international presence, showcasing her creations throughout South Korea and in global art hubs such as Japan, Australia, the UK, the US, and the Philippines.
